Free location tools, built for everyone, everywhere.
Near Me is a collection of GPS-powered location finder tools designed to work for global users without sign-ups, paywalls, or app installs.
The idea behind Near Me
Most "near me" search tools online have one of three problems: they only work in the United States, they require sign-ups and account creation, or they wrap a basic location search inside a heavyweight mobile app. None of these serve a global audience trying to quickly find an ATM, hospital, dentist, or pharmacy nearby.
Near Me by TopTrendingToday solves that. Each tool is a single web page that loads in seconds, uses your device GPS, queries OpenStreetMap (the world's largest open mapping project), and shows you everything you need on an interactive map. No login. No app. No region locks.
"The most useful tool is the one that works for the most people, in the most places, with the least friction."
Coverage that actually means worldwide
When mapping companies say "global coverage," they often mean "we have data in major Western countries." Real global coverage means working in Mumbai, Manila, Lagos, and Lima just as well as in Manhattan.
That is why we built on OpenStreetMap, the same open mapping data that Apple Maps, Microsoft, Amazon, and emergency services rely on. OSM has millions of contributors from every country who keep the data current and detailed.
What we believe
Free, always
Location data should not be locked behind paywalls. Our tools are free forever, supported by display advertising.
Privacy first
Your GPS location stays on your device. We do not store, log, sell, or share location data. Period.
Speed matters
Our tools load in under 2 seconds on 3G connections. Pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No bloat.
Global by default
Every tool works the same way in every country. No region locks. No second-class users.
Who builds Near Me
Near Me is a project by TopTrendingToday, an independent web publisher established in 2022. We started with trending content guides covering YouTube videos, Netflix and Amazon Prime recommendations, and other entertainment topics. Our readers asked for more practical utility tools, which led to the Near Me project.
Every tool is designed, built, tested, and maintained by our small team. We are not VC-funded, not part of a big tech corporation, and not selling user data to advertisers. We are a small group of people who think the open web should have more useful free tools, and so we build them.
Editorial standards
Our content is reviewed for accuracy, accessibility, and user value before publication. Tools are tested across iOS, Android, and desktop browsers. We follow web accessibility guidelines (WCAG AA) and structured data best practices (Schema.org) so search engines and assistive technologies can understand our content.
How we make money
Near Me tools are free to use. We earn revenue through display advertising, primarily Google AdSense, shown alongside tool results. Ads do not influence which results appear in our tools. We do not accept payment for inclusion or rankings. The advertising arrangement is the same as on most free web tools and does not affect data accuracy.
Why we use OpenStreetMap
OpenStreetMap (OSM) is the world's largest community-built mapping database. Over 8 million volunteer contributors keep it updated. Major organizations including Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, and emergency services use OSM data because of its accuracy and global reach.
OSM also has something unique: detailed local knowledge. A small village in rural India or a hospital in Lagos may have better OSM coverage than the equivalent commercial map data. That is why our tools work everywhere, not just in major Western cities.
We give back to OSM by linking to and crediting the project on every tool, and by encouraging users to contribute updates when they find missing or outdated data.
Have feedback or a tool suggestion?
We are actively building new tools and improving existing ones. If there is a "near me" tool you wish existed, let us know.
Reach out via our contact page with suggestions, questions, or feedback. We read every message.
What's next
Near Me is growing. Tools we are working on include petrol pump finder, post office finder, gym finder, coffee shop finder, and notary finder. We prioritize tools based on user demand and search volume in our analytics.
Our long-term goal is simple: build the most complete free collection of location finder tools on the web, working accurately for everyone in every country, supported only by display advertising, never selling user data.
